Asbestos
damage
compensation

The firm's attorneys provide qualified legal assistance to those who have suffered damages from occupational exposure to asbestos, from which a serious disease such as mesothelioma, asbestosis or carcinoma has resulted, even many years later.

Between occupational exposure to asbestos and the manifestation of related pathology runs a long latency period, which can make it difficult to identify the responsible employer, especially if the work was performed many years earlier and at multiple companies, which more often than not turn out to have been the subject of mergers or divestitures. It seems necessary, therefore, to preliminarily carry out a thorough investigation aimed at identifying the responsible employer.

In addition to constant jurisprudential study, such disputes require an in-depth study of medical literature, subject to a specific report prepared by a medico-legal expert, aimed in particular at ascertaining the connection between exposure to asbestos and the related pathology.

The firm's pivotal goal is to get the sick worker and his or her family members, including judicially and as quickly as possible, full compensation for all damages suffered and related to the exposure. Compensation, therefore, not only for property damage but also for non-property damage, such as terminal biological damage, having both temporary and permanent nature, and catastrophic moral damage.

If the death of an asbestos-exposed worker intervenes, the right to compensation for the worker's injuries is passed on to the heirs, to whom assistance is extended. In this case, the aim is to have the heirs themselves obtain maximum compensation not only for the damages suffered by the victim but also, if there is a significant relationship with the victim, compensation for parental and spousal loss.

Elder law

The firm is fully committed to protecting the rights of the elderly.

Lawyers' efforts are aimed at having irregular and unwanted contracts cancelled by the elderly person, particularly telephone and door-to-door contracts, by acting for full compensation for damages suffered against those responsible.

Where the elements of elder fraud or other criminal offenses exist, protection is also extended to criminal cases.

Patient and comprehensive advice on inheritance is also given to the elderly person, in order to enable the drafting of a will that distributes the inheritance in compliance with current legislation and inheritance shares, with the aim of avoiding subsequent disputes of inheritance division and injury to the estate.

Assistance is also provided in gift matters.

In order to ensure the highest quality of life for the elderly person and to protect his or her assets, the firm also offers its assistance in the area of Administration of Support, explaining its purpose and procedural aspects. The relevant appeal to the Guardianship Judge is prepared according to the specific needs illustrated by the elderly person, respecting his or her person and valuing his or her self-determination.

After qualified advice, employment contracts are drawn up with domestic helpers, caregivers and domestic workers.

Medical malpractice

The firm's team deals with medical malpractice and physician and healthcare facility liability in both civil and criminal cases, assisting victims of all medical errors.

Malpractice can result from any medical activity, whether in the public or private sector, performed without observing the guidelines set forth in medical literature and current protocols, causing harm to the patient by omitting or misdiagnosing or performing surgery with negligence and malpractice.

Having verified the merits of each claim, legal action will be initiated to obtain just compensation for all damages suffered by the Client or, in the case of his death, by his family members.
